I posted this question almost a month agao with no response. can anybody help?? I am stuck........

I have a question regarding an appeal I did a year ago for a rejected LC.
I have an approved LC and I-140 on an entry level position (EB3) with my company. after I got a promotion to a senior position that requires a masters degree but with a smilar job description but more senior and supervisory responsabilities with the same company. after promotion, I filed for a new LC (EB2) but it got rejected because DOL thinks it is the same position as the already approved LC. my company and I wrote a letter as an appeal on Sep 2006 within 30 days from rejection of LC to BALCA explaining that new position requires a masters degree and it is a senior position with more supervisory duties. as of today, almost a year later, we haven't heard anything regarding DOL (BALCA) decision on my appeal. is anybody in the same situation?? what should I do next?? also I read somewhere that DOl might revoke the already approved LC EB3 after I filed a second LC for EB2 with the same employer. can DOL revoke the first LC EB3 after I have an approved I-140?? please help. The first one isn't doing anything for me. I like the second one better but agree with the others that it needs a bit more DOF...and I'd go so far as to see if you could make the image (flower) as large as the lighter version.

People who have been paying taxes for 6-10+ years and working in the US economy get only 50,000 Green cards a year, while 50,000 complete strangers in a foreign country get Green card in a year because they happen to be lucky and win a lottery !! :confused:
It doesnt matter who is paying taxes or not. The immigration lobby is all about vote bank
and non-skilled immigration has the upper hand over skilled ones. The senate is still under democratic party and they will roadblock any immigration bill for skilled unless there is something for the "illegals" (more likely theey will try to attach Dream act)

Hi Gurus-
One of my friends had received strange letter from the consulate saying that
We are obliged to inform you that petition for temporary employment for xyz InfoTech .has been returned to the department of homeland security(DHS) for reconsideration, in your case you did not meet the necessary criteria of the visa category, we have asked DHS to revoke the petition.
With this letter we are returning your passport. no additional information or documents are required from you.
We will contact you once a final decision has been made on your application
Please advice me why they send this letter and what necessary action we need to take..

I really wanted to know if it was illegla before reporting someone, you can refer to Jaylenos reply where he quoted my previous post and you will know my real issue is with people that do fraud.
And i am not that stupid to write in a forum like this accepting that i am doing a fraud ehn i can be tracked.

You don't have to. But if your case is straight forward files last 3 w2's. If you did have some out of status time or lower than usual wages in recent years, just file the most recent one + 3 paystubs.
My point is why conceal details if you are ok. Filing before an RFE might preempt RFE.
Being a stright foward case help USCIS decisions a big way, I have personally experienced this at my 140 stage.

I will be relocating to Houston soon. I am new to the area. I would really appreciate if you can give your inputs on good neighborhoods, cost of living, etc.

Welcome to H city! SugarLand and Katy have very good neighborhoods with lots of desis. A lot depends upon where your office located. Cost of living is in Houston is low compared to LA, NY. Homes are "affordable". But property taxes are high (average is above 3%). Food, gas and misc. services are cheap. Insurance and utility costs are high though. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

This database could be used to find out the percentage of successful labor applications filed on behalf of a particular organization.
However, I hope they are not using Microsoft Access for their actual system. If that is the infrastructure they have then we already have answers for the long GC wait ;-)
This is useful, but I doubt its accuracy because some of the cases I know - including mine - are missing !!

Fellow IVians,
I was completely unaware of the fact that USPS does not forward USCIS mail to the forwarding address. I moved about a couple of months back and have been receiving my mail to the new address since then.
My checks were encashed on the 12th of October, so I guess I would be receiving my receipts soon. But if the RN is not delivered to me and goes back to the USCIS will they consider my application to be abondoned? I have already executed G-28 forms and is it OK if my lawyer receives a copy of the RN.
Also anybody has any idea if the USPS can hold my mail for a certain amount of time. I guess they do but just wanted to clarify.

Hi , My 140 is cleared. But my consulting company is smaller. I am in search of job, some marketing companys were asking me to change employer..... confused whether to stick with my employer OR change to a new employer.

I think they moved very cautiously because of porting. Porting seems to be much more serious than we all thought maybe. Also as well as since it's just may, they traditionally don't open floodgates until late.

Just wanted to know about your EAD: Which Center you have applied ? NSC/TSC. What date they have received. My EAD Renewal is pending, and I wish to change job. :confused:

I you manage a team of engineers who themselves hold university degrees, you may very well qualify for L-1A status and your chance of getting an approval could be better than if you refile the L-1B.
