Friends - I have self respect and i wasn't born chanting Green Card. I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won. Today I spoke to a Representative who deals with immigration issue at Sen Mike Dewine's (R-OH) office. I spoke to him for 15 minutes to understand what he and his senator think about this CIR.
Here is he and his senator feels about this bill. It is difficult for him to say that when CIR bill will be introduced in senate floor . It depend on Majority and Minority leaders to decide. Majority leader told to the media that he will introduce before the end of the may, he is mostly consistent, but there are several bills where he has committed a timeline and till today it is not on the floor.
However he told that once CIR pass, legal immigration is already taken care of, but if it does not passes there are bills like SKIL which will be put before the floor. But CIR has to fail or pass before you see this SKILL bill on the floor.

As per the discussion's from other threads about LUD, it's been largerly agreed that there is no relavance between the LUD change/not change to one's 485 application. Hopes this will clear your doubt.

When you send flowers EB2-I gets retrogressed No will care if ever we have to send flowers as a united group... Are you going to address that as Eb2-India Retrogressed campaign ?
are you guys going on the same trail if dates move back and forth ... one month to send and one month to predict "EB2 will be current" and again one month back to worried...
Support IV dudes... :) and may be you can even update your profile...
My intention is to say united we stand, divided we fall, which we almost did when everyone discussing here thought of earlier that EB3-I is the only group going to have problems...

thanks for responding...any contradicting/second opinions? What is the exemption towards - both filing for 485 and processing of 485 too, right? Isn't it an exemption from the EB quota?
Exemption of a qualified alien from the availability of visa numbers. So yes, you can file for 485 however unavailable EB2/3/1 visa numbers are.
And I agree with the previous poster that should this SKIL ever pass, it does not matter under which category your employer filed your LC, you are able to go ahead and file for AOS with a post-graduate US STEM degree.

That lawsuit Idea is still very much alive but not relevant to this. Plus that idea will take some time. I also don't believe I had been unethical.
The bottom line, you would agree, the reason we all are lurking on this forum is to get our GC. I can assure you and the other core members of one thing, I will not do anything which is I beleive is unethical on not within the boundaries of the law.

I have no problem with porting, but the priority date should be starting from when they acquired required qualifications for the job.
Example, if someone with B.S and 2 years experience had applied in EB3 in 2005 and tries to port now I think it is fair to have the ported PD not in 2005, but 2008 when the person acquired B.S + 5 years experience.
This would automatically address all those folks who deserved to be in EB2 but couldnt either becuase lawyer screwed up or issues with sponsoring company.

I guess one strategy would be only to file for principal applicants, get green cards, become citizens and then sponsor dependents would be a faster route than waiting through the EB route:) Just kidding.

We filed on July 20 to NSC. CSC acknowledged the receipt on September 19. On 9/21 we recd a notice from CSC stating that our cases are transferred to NSC. However EAD and AP applications are still being proceesed by CSC. Just recd an e-mail that EAD card production ordered.
